With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Lawrence Humphreys of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Humphreys and Dorothy Maddox Humphreys. He is survived by: his wife Lillie Loretta Humphreys; his son Mark Hendley Humphreys (Lauren Muth); and his grandchildren, Kate Humphreys, Emma Humphreys and Luke Humphreys.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Grey Stone Church's Senior Adult Choir: 2601 Hillsborough Rd, Durham, NC 27705.
