In the sacred silence of farewell, Janie Delores is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She is survived by: her sons, Charles W. McLean, Jr., Clovis L. McLean, Terrence C. McLean, Demetrius McLean and Darvlyn R. McLean, Sr.; and her brothers, Reverend Travies Edwards and Timothy Edwards. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:55 AM at the First Calvary Baptist Church (1311 Morehead Ave, Durham, NC 27707). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
