She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance Griffin and Winnie Griffin; her husband Jarvis Brantley Morrison; and her brother Van Griffin. She is survived by: her children, Wendy Painter (Amanda Gentry), Apryl Watkins (Lester) and Craig Morrison (Patti); her grandsons, Steve Morrison, Justin Morrison (Chelsey) and Blair Morrison (EmilyHammond); her great grandchildren, Turner, Eason, Sully and Griffin Morrison; and her sister Joan Johnson. She is also survived by several nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Clements Funeral Home (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705).
