It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Eugene Elliott Sr. (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on October 28, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luvenia Elliott and Hazel Thomas; his son Jerry Elliott, Jr.; and his siblings, Larry Elliott, Willie Elliott, Jodie Elliott and Naomi Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hoskins Elliott; his children, Valerie Anthony of Durham, Deatrice Elliott of Granville County, Anita Elliott of Durham and Kevin Elliott, Sr. (Dawn) of Durham; and his siblings, Teresa Scarlett (Sam), Elaine Mayo (Terry) of Greensboro, Diane Spencer of Durham, Johnny Elliott (Alice) of Montgomery, AL, Bernard Elliott, Alvin Elliott (Sabrina), Frankie Elliott and Milton Elliott (Sabrina). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
