She is survived by: her daughter Claudell Hill; her goddaughter Susan Hemingway (Jeaneen Nunn-Thomas); her son Reginald Umstead; her godsons, Palmer Bowman, Jay Bowman and John "Tinky" Umstead; her siblings, Minnie Harris, Brenda McCormick and Wallace Umstead; and her grandchildren, Imani Nunn, Parker Marie Bowman, Callum John Bowman, Layla Bowman of Virginia and Caroline Mae Bowman.
