He was loved and cherished by many people including: his friend Tarheel; his parents, Hazel L. Wily and John F. Wily Jr.; his wife Martha T. Wily; his children, Thomas Wily and Marcie Wily (John Helleberg); his grandchildren, Sophie and Jack; his sister Margaret Noisworthy (Pat); his grandson Jake; his nephew Fleming Wily; and his cousins, Beth Day and Kinsey Wily. He was also cherished by extended family and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Special Olympics of North Carolina (Golf Program) or Westminster Presbyterian Church.
