We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2025, at the age of 64, John R. Martin Jr. of Durham, North Carolina passed away. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Martin and Frances Melton Martin; and his nephew Jeff. He is survived by: his wife Malavanh Martin; and his sisters, Judy, Janet and Myra.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Point Baptist Church (1100 Pine St, Kannapolis, NC 28081). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
