He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stokes and Mary Lynn Springer; and his grandson Jayvon Pryor. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Pamela Humphrey-Stokes. He is also survived by children, grandchildren, a great-grandchild, as well a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
