He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gaither Wesley, Sr. and Nellie Bradley Wesley; and his siblings, Gaither, Jeannette, Donald, Frances, Esther, Louise, Jack and Billy.
He is survived by: his children, David Wesley of Hawaii, Timothy Wesley of Garner and Kimberly Wesley Askew of Raleigh; his sister Darlene Wesley Byrd Norris of Asheboro, NC; his granddaughters, Jessica Wesley Blackburn of Trinity, Courtney Askew of Clayton and Peyton Askew of Cary; and his great grandchildren, Evalynn of Trinity and Ariel of Trinity. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
