He was predeceased by : his parents, John Wright, Sr. and Wilma Lee Simmons Wright; his daughter Dorothy Wright; his sisters, Wilma Lee Jones, Sylvia Doretha Young and Mary Ellison; his stepsiblings, Levern Mosley, Bonnie Reddick, Edward Percell and Robert Percell Jr.; and his son-in-law Dwayne Tremble.
He is survived by : his children, Johnette Wright of Durham, NC, Ronald Wright of Durham, NC, Donald Wright (Lorraine) of Durham, NC, Chevelle Leathers (Vernon) of Durham, NC, Anthony Wright of Durham, NC and Jonnie Wright-Tremble; and his siblings, Eugene Wright, Sr. (Debolia) and Maggie Kelly (Terry). He is also survived by grandchildren, (7) great grandchildren, and (3) great-great grandchildren.
