He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alfred Bazemore and Susan Henderson Bazemore; his brother John Alfred Bazemore, Jr.; and his wife Ruth Herring Bazemore. He is survived by: his daughters, Ruth Bowman (Ray) of Durham and Susan Spencer (Scott) of Henrico, Virginia; his grandchildren, Bristol Bowman Vaughn (Kirk), Patrick Bowman of Durham, Samantha Wilmer (Jordan), Sheldon and Sierra Spencer; and his great grandchild Jackson Wilmer.
