He is survived by: his wife Susan Hovis Kennedy; his sons, Joseph "Jay" Everett Kennedy, III (Susan) of Charlotte, NC and Todd Kennedy (Rachel) of Pikeville, KY; his grandson Justin Kennedy; his children, Morgan Kennedy, Drew Kennedy and Jackson Kennedy; and his sister Elizabeth "Betsy" Kennedy Gresham. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
