He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Paul Evans, Sr. and Pauline Melissa Sparrow Evans. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rose Bailey Evans of Durham, NC; his children, Barry Evans (Adriana) of Louisville, KY and Stacey Evans Blalock (Brian) of Chapel Hill, NC; his stepdaughter Robin Powell of Houston, TX.; and his grandchildren, Allison Blalock Walls (Brandon) of Raleigh, NC, Natalie Blalock of Chapel Hill, NC, Brooke Blalock of Chapel Hill, NC and Luke Blalock of Clayton, NC.. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, nieces-in-law, nephews-in-law, their spouses, and numerous extended family members and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Clements Funeral Home (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705).
