It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Ann Russell of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Liston Tompkins and Pinkie Tompkins; her daughter Melissa Kaye Russell; and her sisters, Doris Gause and Margaret Skipper.

She is survived by: her husband Alton Russell; her daughter Kathy Robinson (Todd); her grandchildren, Nolan Robinson and Emily Robinson; and her sister Olean Alford.
