Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joyce Wilkins Carnell (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 84, on April 11, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Huey Daniels Wilkins and Bertha Virginia Taylor Wilkins; her husband Leon Dale Carnell; and her siblings, Jean Wilkins Ferrell and Jerry Wilkins.

She is survived by : her sons, Jerry Carnell Sr. (Kim), Terry Carnell (Tracy) and Keith Carnell (April); and her grandchildren, Jerry Carnell, Jr. (Brandy), Dana Carnell Sakuei, Robert Carnell (Stephanie), Tori Pender (Gary), Dustin Carnell (Ashley), Bryson Carnell (Savannah) and Tanner Carnell (Hailey). She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens (3712 Cheek Rd, Durham, NC 27704-4942).
