She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Dowdy and Monnie Alice Breece Dowdy; her grandson John Byron Blount; and her sisters, Patricia Dowdy Draughon and Carol Dowdy Smith.
She is survived by: her husband John Drewry Goodwyn, Jr.; her daughters, Janet Blount (Eddie) and JoAnne Goodwyn; her grandchildren, Davis Blount (Taylor), McKinsey Blount Guthrie (Christian) and Morgan Blount Bean (Carter); and her sister Teresa Dowdy McAdams.
