He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Lyon Mangum and Lula Holt Mangum; and his grandparents, Melvin, Mildred Mangum, William and Ella Averette.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Diane Mangum; his sons, Kevin Dale Mangum and Julian Tanner Mangum; his siblings, David Todd Mangum (Kathy) and Jamie Holt Slaughter (Calvin); his parents-in-law, Charles and Rebecca Bonham; his sister-in-law Trisha Gallimore (David); his nieces and nephews, Hailee DalCerro (Anthony), Tyler Mangum, Emma, Callie, Colton, Bryson Slaughter and Tyler Lunsford; and his pet Yogi. He is also survived by his family and friends.
