He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Harrell and Juanita Harrell; and his siblings, Jack Harrell, James Harrell, Margaret Stewart, Dorothy Boegner and Charles Harrell.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Harrell; his sons, Clark Harrell (Jennifer), Michael Harrell (Kristel) and John Harrell (Marsha); and his grandchildren, Kaitlynn Graves (Cameron), Andy Harrell, Chase Harrell and Amanda Harrell.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Watts Street Baptist Church (800 Watts St, Durham, NC 27701).
