It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Eugene Hester (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Plybon Hester and Kathleen Adams Carden Hester; his son Russell Samuel Hester; and his sister Joyce Myers. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hester; and his son Bradley Eugene Hester.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or Commonwealth Senior Living, 435 Hamilton Boulevard, South Boston VA 24592.
