It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis DeWitt Bell of Durham, North Carolina, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on December 11, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Loren DeWitt; his son Lewis DeWitt "Louie" Bell, Jr.; and his siblings, Leonard Bell and Hazel Sasser. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Wills Bell; his daughters, Lisa Wilson (David) of Creedmoor, NC, Jennifer Norton of Creedmoor, NC and Nichole Capel of Creedmoor, NC; his siblings, C. L. Neville, Lynette Hohnerlein, Louise Sheaffer (Jim) and Carolyn Kessner; and his grandchild Blane Latta. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
