She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Charles Johnston and Jessie Mae Shuler Johnston; and her son Carl Kenneth Blacksher, Jr.. She is survived by: her friend Joan; her daughters, Ellen McDonald (Guy) of Georgetown and Cindy Sechelski of Conroe, Texas; her grandchildren, Shaun Buckminster, Mandee Bowers, Katie Aaron-Simon, John Cantrell Saylor and Gabe Olinga; and her nieces, Sharlene Simon and Barbara Aaron of Durham.
