She was predeceased by: her parents, Odell Gaston and Mattie Allen Winfree; her husband Donald Ross Ladd, Sr.; and her great grandchild Wyatt Benjamin. She is survived by: her brother Bert Winfree (Terry) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her children, Joye Ladd Phipps (Steve) of Durham and Donald Ladd, Jr. (Karen) of Durham; her grandchildren, Bradley Phipps (Kyla), Chaplain, Becky Phipps, Brent Phipps (Brooke) and Jennifer Martin (Stuart); and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Kayleigh, Westley, Katie Joye, Jackson, Isaac, Camden Jax, Amelia and Carter Grey.
