Mary Thomson Champagne Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Thomson Champagne of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Thomson and Marge Thomson; her children, Zach, Caroline and Margaret Rose (Neil); her grandchild Bridie; her child Chris (Alicia); her grandchildren, Sophia Rose, Desmond and Morrison; her siblings, Joani (Jim), Jeanne (Joe), Heather (Steve), Jack (Paula), Bill (Jennie), Steve (Judy), Rose Casey and Notre Dame of Namur; and her granddaughter Mary. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass for Mary will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Durham on January 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. To honor Mary, donations may be made to the Duke University School of Nursing Student Scholarship Fund at Duke University School of Nursing, 307 Trent Dr., DUMC Box 3322, Durham, NC 27710.
