Maxine L. Hardy Obituary

We announce the death of Maxine L. Hardy (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 76. Maxine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses LeMay and Virginia LeMay. She is survived by: her children, Levonne Hardy, Jr. (Kristal), Kaleshia V. Hardy and Sherita Hardy Gillespie; and her siblings, Wilbur LeMay, Leroy LeMay, Emma Foster, Diane LeMay, Joan Pifer and Virginia Abramson. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and close friends.
