He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Dean Lazell Freck; his son Dean Freck (Jill); his granddaughters, Julianne and Natalie of Durham, NC; his sister Mary-Sue Van Horn of Marlton, NJ; his nieces, Kathy Dickason of Indianapolis, IN and Mary Hanan of Glenridge, NJ; his nephew Michael Van Horn of Poulsbo, WA.; and his wife Frances.
