It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Metta Mae Metcalf (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on July 27, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah Staunton Crumpacker and William Johnson Crumpacker; her husband Norman Metcalf; her sons, Jack Sr. and Kirk Sr.; and her grandchildren, Melissa Metcalf and Jimmy Metcalf.
She is survived by: her grandson Kirk T. Metcalf Jr. (Devon); her great grandchildren, Kam, Jacie and Mia; her grandson Jack E. Metcalf Jr. (Shannon); her great grandchildren, Austin, Ethan and Lila; her grandsons, Keny and Scott Metcalf; and her daughter-in-law Sandra Faye Metcalf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity of your choice, Duke Memorial United Methodist Church in Durham or consider doing something to put a smile on someone's face.
