He is survived by: his wife Sharon Shipp Gittin; his daughter Jennifer Phelps (Jason Phelps); his grandchildren, Colin Phelps and Gracyn Phelps; his great grandchild Stetson Riggs; his brother Lawrence "Larry" Gittin (Diane); and his half-sister Stephanie Uptegraft. He is also survived by nephews and a nieces.
