Grice; her sisters, Velma Robinson, Eula Johnson, Ardenia Jackson, Edith Marie Williams and Ella Julia Harris; her foster sister Janie Evans; her brothers, Cleophus DeVaughn Sr., Luther DeVaughn and Ludie DeVaughn Sr.; and her goddaughter Geraldine M. Daye.
She is survived by: her daughter Geraldine Johnson Grice; her granddaughter Shaleah Lynne Grice; her great grandchild Sidhe Lily Williams; her goddaughter Phyllis Timberlake; her brother Dr. Booker T. DeVaughn; and her sister-in-law Dr. Elena DeVaughn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, along with extended family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Level Missionary Baptist Church (316 Hebron Rd, Durham, NC 27701). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
