She is survived by: her son Derrick Wayne Parnell (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Devin Austin, Victoria, Blayk Ashton, Chelsea Nicole and Brian Beverly Parnell; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Olivia Parnell; and her brother Jerry Kennedy (Cheryl).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
