He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Aaron Gray and Grace Nock Gray; his child Dean Gray (Vincent LaRouche) of Lenox; his grandchildren, Isabel Gray and Duncan Gray; his daughter Karen Gray (Thomas Kane) of Cambridge; his grandchildren, T. Finnian Kane, Kyle Gray (Elizabeth Hunter Gray) of Chapel Hill, Hunter Gray, Aedin Gray, Allegra Gray and Harper Gray; his wife Elise Norris Gray; and his brother Richard Neal Gray.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Star Island Corporation or Mercer University School of Engineering.
