He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McLendon Hopson and Juanita Turner Hopson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Hopson; his son James Hopson; and his sister Robin Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of 1st and 2nd cousins.
