He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Hogan Wheeler and Winston Maye Wheeler; and his brothers, W. E. Wheeler and Donnie Wheeler. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McBroom Wheeler; his children, Melissa Wheeler Poole (Kevin) and Brian Wheeler; his grandchildren, Jackson Poole, Caroline Poole, Grayson Poole, Sophia Wheeler and Morgan Wheeler; his brother Freddie McBroom (Linda); and his close friend Luna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
