She is survived by: her children, Cathy Diane Shambley-Baer (Brett) and Michael Steven Shambley (Sandra); her sister Faye Creech; her grandchildren, Khali Boyd (Potsch), Tommy MacIntyre (Megan) and Buster Baer (Paulina); her stepgrandsons, James Compton (Kim) and Matt Compton (Laura); her great grandchildren, Bandit Boyd, Roark Boyd and Lux Baer; and her stepgreat-grandson James L. Compton. She is also survived by parent raising two children, her family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
