It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosalie Smolin Mandel of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Leah. She is survived by: her sister Marcia; her husband Daniel Mandel; her children, Joseph Mandel (Alicia Scotti), Lawrence Mandel (Karen) and Marcia Mandel (Daniel Assael); and her grandchildren, Sara Welner (Ari), Seth Mandel (Bethany), Abby Eserner (Avi), Leah Mandel, Joya Mandel-Assael and Matt Mandel. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
