He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Edward Watson Sr. and Willie Mae Watson; his sisters, Roberta Shaw, Wildra and Cathy Lewis; his son-in-law Leon Farrington; and his grandson Jeremiah Dixon.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Lucas Watson; his sons, Rodney Watson (Vonda) and Anthony "Tony"; his grandsons, Gabriel Watson of Durham, NC, Isaiah Farrington (Brianna) of Durham, NC and Amaree Leak of Durham, NC; his great grandchildren, Gabrielle Watson of Durham, NC, Jahsiere Watson of Durham, NC, Tyler Farrington of Durham, NC, Marley Farrington of Durham, NC, Issah Farrington of Durham, NC and Messayah Farrington of Durham, NC; his siblings, Ulyssess Jackson, Randolph Watson (Mattie), James "Butch" Wenwick, Willie Watson Jr., Roosevelt, Andre and Wilma Young; his brother-in-law Thomas Lucas (Evangelist Mary Lucas); and his cousin Delois Estes. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and in laws.
