She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Bryant Martin, Sr. and Elizabeth Currin Martin; and her siblings, Vernon B. Martin, Jr., Billy A. Martin, Ann Cooley and Mary Holben.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Gardner; her daughter Rhonda G. Brogden of Butner, NC; her brother John Martin (Betty) of Shelby, NC; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Noel Brogden and Christy Domnick (Sergeant Micah Domnick); and her pet River. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hudson Funeral Home (211 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hudson Funeral Home Chapel (211 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703).
