She was predeceased by: her parents, Straughan Henley Watkins and Amie Cheatham Watkins. She is survived by: her husband Milton Augustus Barber III; her children, Margaret Barber Wood (Bill), Milton Augustus Barber IV (Lloyd), Andrew Jackson Watkins Barber (Katie) and Sabat Parham Barber (Kim); and her grandchildren, William, Ruthie Wood, Parham, Sam Robinson, Madison, Jackson, John Barber, Rob, Marion and Anna Barber. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glorious Life Home Care Services, AuthoraCare Collective of Greensboro, or St Stephen's Episcopal Church in Durham.
