It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarita Howell Davis (Durham, North Carolina), born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Sarita has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her father Clell Howell; her uncle Bill; her aunt Barbara Howell; and her sister-in-law Jo Howell. She is survived by: her mother Ramona Best Howell; her husband Dave Davis (Dave); and her brothers, Richard Clell Howell (Dianne), Franklin Kent Howell and Raymond Cecil Howell (Sandy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
