He is survived by: his wife Barbara Horvitz of Durham; his children, Erica Myers-Lauver of Oakwood, Christopher Bradley Myers of Dayton and Tinora Powell of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Ian and Willow; and his siblings, Gretchen Myers of Battle Creek, Michigan and Tim Myers of Coloma, Michigan..
In lieu of flowers or similar gestures of sympathy, Spencer's family suggests planting a tree in his memory by buying a seedling or contacting a nonprofit such as The Arbor Day Foundation.
