We announce the death of Sylvia Roycroft Clayton (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jewel Roycroft and Minnie Lee Roycroft; her brother Jimmy Roycroft; and her mother-in-law Doris Hunter Clayton. She is survived by: her husband Wes Clayton; her daughters, Heather Clayton Maris and Blair Clayton Flowers (Kory); her brother Lawson Roycroft (Sally); and her niece Anita Myers.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Temple Baptist Church (2121 Umstead Rd, Durham, NC 27712).
