It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Waller of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Witherspoon, Sr. and Katie Bradshaw Witherspoon; her sisters-in-law, Ethel Waller and Bertha Farrington (Bernard); and her granddaughter Chelsea Hayes of Durham, NC.
She is survived by: her husband George Waller; her children, Vanessa Waller Alston (Brent), Stephanie Waller (Marc) of Durham, NC and Maurice (Lisa) of Hillsborough, NC; her siblings, Shirley Johnson of Mooresville, NC, Louis Witherspoon (Patricia) of Franklinton, Luke Witherspoon, Sr. (Juanita) of Atlantic City, NJ and Nathaniel Witherspoon (Irene) of Franklin, NC; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Waller (Mildred), Richard Waller (Evelyn) and Robert Waller (Ruby).
