Thomas Ray Benson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Ray Benson of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on May 8, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Cleveland Thomas Benson; his wives, Louise Wilkins Benson and Anita Canady Benson; and his brother Bill Benson. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Ray Benson, Jr. (Nancie) of Durham and Dana King of Erwin; his grandchildren, Dylan Thomas Benson of Smithfield, Julian Neumann of Erwin and Ashor King of Erwin; and his siblings, James Benson (JC) of Whiteville, Rufus Benson of Selma, Florence Benson Pittman of Pine Level and Shirley Wilkins Holt (Ronnie).
