She is survived by: her children, Fatima McGriff of Queens, Khadir Cherry of Durham, Michon Calloway of Durham and Mikhia Calloway of Chapel Hill; her grandchildren, Malani Stewart and Santana Cherry; her siblings, Monique Chanakira of Chapel Hill, Ashanti Cedeno of Durham and Robert Canady of East Orange; and her nieces and nephews, Gregory, Maurice, Jahmon, TeAzsa, Timothy, Nadiyah, Zion and Myla. She is also survived by many extended family members, dear friends.
