She is survived by: her children, Dasia Lynn James of Durham, NC and Jeffrey James Jr.; her stepdaughters, Shaquonda James and Nee Nee James; her parents, Judy Hughes (Heath-"Pops") and William Brown (Deloris); and her siblings, Heather Herrin, Elizabeth Barnes, Hayley Mizell, Linda Farmer, James Brown, Willie Brown and Vann Willingham. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephew, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home & Crematory (735 Virginia Rd, Edenton, NC 27932). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
