He was predeceased by : his father Arthur Eugene McElwee. He is survived by : his wife Louise Gray McElwee; his children, Lynn McElwee Vaughan (Randy) and Wallace Eugene McElwee, Jr. (Christina Poole); and his grandchildren, Jessica McElwee (Jeffery), Sidney McElwee Shelts (Sean), Jeremy Wright (Yeymi) and Ashlee Muhlberger (Jason). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
