He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alonza Painter and Thelma Booth Painter. He is survived by: his wife Susan Dean Painter; his sons, Craig Painter (Pamela) and Billy Painter (Julie); his sister Faye Painter Hester; his grandsons, William Alonzo Painter, IV and Luke Elliott Painter; and his niece Cyndi Hester.
