William Paul Evans Obituary

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Paul Franklin Evans and Mira Allyne Williams (Eric); his siblings, Scarlet Vivienne Fleming and Irving L. Joyner; and his grandchildren, Jahleel Omar Ford, Anwar Qadeer Evans, Dawoud Abdul-Ahad Evans, Naim Adib Evans, Yusra Bayan Evans, Eisa Abdullah Evans, Marlee Kendall Williams and Tatum Elyse Williams. He was also cherished by extended family members and friends. As he was professionally known, "Bill" was a graduate of the North Carolina Central University and, until his retirement, was an Administrator at NCCU where he directed Alumni Relations. During and after his tenure at NCCU, he was a strong supporter of the Athletic Program and student engagement. He was also a long-term and active member of the St. Josephs AME Church in Durham and directed a host of community outreach program on behalf of the Church.
