He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sherron Jr. and Venita C. Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Randall; his children, Venita Sherron King and William Sherron IV; his daughter-in-law Joya; his grandchildren, Kyle Aaron King and Christian Cheek (James); his great grandchildren, Lincoln and Brianna Cheek; and his sisters, Gwendolyn Pinager and Claudelle Sherron. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In May 2023, he was inducted into the Dillard University Sports Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to the Men's Basketball team.
