It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willis James Bowling (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Bowling and Eula Teasley Bowling; his wife Frances Ellis Bowling; and his son James "Tom" Robert Bowling. He is survived by: his son Jimmy Lee Williford (Angela); his grandchildren, Rodney Lee Williford (Amber) of Alfred, James Bowling (Skyla), Susan Marie Tilley, Jessica Bowling and Katie Bowling; and his siblings, Gracine Turnage and Travis Bowling. He is also survived by 11 great-great-grandchildren.
