He was predeceased by : his parents, Moir Clayton and Essie Mae Phillips Norman; and his brothers, Willie Gray Norman and Gary Clayton Norman. He is survived by : his wife Diane Hardy Norman; his children, Pam Stanley (Ronnie) and Jeffery Norman (Kandice); his grandchildren, Cameron Stanley (Morgan), Hannah Stanley (Chris) and Garrett Norman; his great grandchild Salem Tate; his siblings, Daphne Venable (Randy), Denise Norman (Joey Snow) and Dennis Norman (Patsy); his niece Tonya Hawks (Andy); and his nephew Tony Venable (Stephanie).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Siloam Baptist Church, 6909 Siloam Road Siloam, NC 27047.
